Following two highly successful installations, we are proud to announce that Emerald has been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s GGP Installer Awards 2023.
The Glass and Glazing Products (GGP) magazine’s Installer Awards celebrates the best in quality work, expert design and creativity, as well as noteworthy people and services across the industry. The expert panel of judges includes:
The categories for which Emerald has been shortlisted are Best Installation – Commercial and Best Installation – Residential (Up to £20,000).
Emerald’s place as a finalist in the Commercial category was secured by a challenging yet rewarding installation of 68 uPVC casement windows, replacing original timber frames at the dormitories at Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester during Spring 2022. Despite other double glazing companies quoting twice the University’s budget, Emerald was able to complete the entire job – including two bay and four dormer windows – within budget and to a tight timeframe.
Deceuninck 2800 sculptured casement windows in Golden Oak were chosen to be in keeping with the buildings’ heritage appearance, whilst improving security and providing better insulation to reduce energy and heating costs.
To be shortlisted in the Residential (Up to £20,000) category, Emerald completed an installation of 17 Infinity flush casement windows and two French doors to a characterful home in Fairford, Gloucestershire in February 2022. With Emerald’s advice and following a visit to our Swindon showhome, the customer chose modern uPVC windows in Agate Grey (externals) and Heritage White (internals) with black handles. The style of the product combined replicating traditional timber with the use of square leaded glass meant the replacements were in keeping with the property whilst increasing energy efficiency and security, as per the customer’s brief.
Emerald was able to complete the entire installation process within the space of one week, minimising hassle for the customer. Following completion, Deceuninck saw images of the project on social media and arranged for its own photography to be taken.
